Designing your perfect Shade Sail
You've completed the planning and measuring—now it's time to design your Shade Sail. Enter your measurements, customise your options, and the configurator will guide you through every step to designing a custom Shade Sail to match your mounting points.
Fabric & Colour
Choose the fabric range and colour that best suit your climate, shade requirements, and outdoor space. Compare durability, UV protection, and available colour options.
Edge Finish
Choose a cable (wire) edge for on-site adjustability or a webbing edge for a fast, clean, factory-calculated install.
Shape & Size

Before you order
Note these common oversights before finalising your Shade Sail.
- Ordering before all mounting points are installed. Final measurements should only be taken once every mounting point is installed.
- Overlooking hardware requirements. If you're not selecting a complete hardware pack, make sure you have every fitting needed for installation.
- Assuming a ready-made Shade Sail will fit. Standard sizes suit some layouts, but many spaces require a custom sail.

Monotec 370 offers the highest UV protection and is our toughest fabric. Commercial 95 is a durable all-rounder for high-use areas. Extrablock 330 is our FR-rated option, while Shadetec 320 offers excellent value for residential applications. Compare the full specs on the fabrics page.
A cable (wire) edge runs an adjustable stainless wire through the hem - ideal for fine-tuning tension on site. A webbing edge is reinforced webbing, pre-calculated at the factory - fast to install, folds flat, looks crisp. See our edging styles page.
Custom and ready-made Shade Sails ship free worldwide via DHL Express, with taxes and duties included. Delivery estimates, including custom manufacturing time, are shown at checkout. If you have a specific deadline, contact us before ordering.
Custom sails are made to order, so they take longer than shipping a stock size - production time is added before DHL shipping. Current lead times are shown during checkout. If you have a specific deadline, contact us before ordering.
A workmanship warranty for the same period as your fabric - 10 to 15 years depending on the fabric type - and every sail is stitched with SolarFix® PTFE thread rated for 15–25 years. Full warranty terms are available on our warranty page.
Ready-made Shade Sails and unused hardware can generally be returned in accordance with our return policy; custom Shade Sails are manufactured to your measurements so can't be returned unless faulty. Please review our full refund policy before ordering.
Yes - our worldwide DHL Express shipping is free and includes taxes and duties, so the price shown is the total price you'll pay with nothing extra to collect on delivery. You can see the full price for your custom Shade Sail in the configurator.

Both edges are strong, but a cable (wire) edge provides you extra on-site adjustability for sail tension making it a popular choice for larger or more exposed installations.
